ASHLEY FRIPP

Ashley Fripp prowadzi intensywną działalność koncertową w Europie, Azji, Ameryce Północnej, Afryce i Australii, w najbardziej prestiżowych salach koncertowych świata, m. in. w Carnegie Hall w Nowym Jorku, Musikverein w Wiedniu, Concertgebouw w Amsterdamie, oraz w filharmoniach w Kolonii, Paryżu, Luksemburgu, Warszawie, w Brukseli (Bozar), Londynie (Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall),  Atenach (Megaron) i Sztokholmie (Konserthuset).

Ashley Fripp jest laureatem kilkunastu krajowych i międzynarodowych konkursów, m. in. w Hamamatsu (Japonia), Birmingham, Leeds, w konkursie “Royal Over-Seas League”, w Concours Européen de Piano (Francja).  Zdobył pożądany przez pianistów Złoty Medal przyznawany przez londyńską Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Występował na licznych festiwalach muzycznych w Edynburgu, Brighton, Buxton i Oksfordzie, na festiwalu St. Magnus (Orkady u wybrzeży Szkocji), Pontino di Musica (Włochy), Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele (Niemcy) i Floralia Muzyczne – Muzyka w Kwiatach  (Polska).

Pianista występuje w programach radiowych i telewizyjnych (BBC, Eurovision TV) oraz w krajowych rozgłośniach radiowych Węgier, Hiszpanii, Luksemburga, Holandii, Polski, Belgii i Portugalii.

Ashley Fripp studiował w Scuola di Musica di Fiesole we Włoszech pod kierunkiem Eliso Virsaladze i w Guildhall School of Music and Drama w Londynie u Ronana O'Hory.  W 2021 uzyskał stopień doktora w zakresie muzyki fortepianowej (współczesnego) brytyjskiego kompozytora Thomasa Adèsa.

Ashley Fripp has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and Australia in many of the world's most prestigious concert halls. Highlights include the Carnegie Hall (New York), Musikverein (Vienna), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Philharmonie halls of Cologne, Paris, Luxembourg and Warsaw, the Bozar (Brussels), the Royal Festival, Barbican and Wigmore Halls (London), the Megaron (Athens), and the Konserthuset (Stockholm). He has won prizes at more than a dozen national and international competitions, including at the Hamamatsu (Japan), Birmingham, and Leeds International Piano Competitions, the Royal Over-Seas League Competition, the Concours Européen de Piano (France), and the coveted Gold Medal from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He has performed in the Edinburgh, Brighton, Buxton, and St. Magnus International Festivals as well as the Oxford International Piano Festival, the Festival Pontino di Musica (Italy), the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele (Germany) and the Powsin International Piano Festival (Poland). Ashley has appeared on BBC television and radio, Eurovision TV, and the national radio stations of Hungary, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and Portugal.

Ashley Fripp studied with Eliso Virsaladze at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Italy) and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Ronan O’Hora. In 2021, he was awarded a doctorate for his research into the music of British composer Thomas Adès.
